V*** is one of the pioneering companies in the quartz stone manufacturing sector in Asia.

They aim to become one of the top 3 quartz stone brands by continuously innovating and applying new technologies and materials to create artistic, unique, and inspiring quartz stone products for all audiences. As a result, V***** has a distribution network spanning five continents.

Challenges to customer expectations

For quartz products, the main and preferred source for distributors in Vietnam remains cheap Chinese goods. Although V***** is quite well-known in the market, its high price makes it difficult to compete in Vietnam.

Therefore, their immediate goal is to increase brand awareness – as the number one high-end quartz brand in Vietnam.

To address this, the company has invested heavily in media campaigns such as newspaper bookings, television sponsorships, TV commercials, and popular digital marketing methods like Google Ads, SEO, and Wi-Fi marketing.

However, when implementing SEO activities independently, the company did not achieve the desired results.

Therefore, to save time, effort, and money, the company partnered with SEONGON for SEO services to achieve the desired results.

Our problem analysis and solution

Through in-depth research into businesses, the market, and competitors, GDT Stores has identified several reasons why businesses are not implementing effective SEO:

1. Previously, businesses relied heavily on backlinks for SEO.

V***** purchased numerous satellite sites to place backlinks to their website. It’s easy to see that the company’s backlink count is quite high compared to competitors in the same industry and is trending upwards.

However, as the results show, this SEO method is ineffective. SEO based solely on backlinks is a very unsustainable approach.

Google itself has even introduced an algorithm called Penguin to penalize sites that intentionally build backlinks in an unnatural way (not from users or genuine reviews, but using black hat SEO methods that dramatically increase backlinks in a short period).

2. Brand keywords may rank highly, but they are not appearing on the correct landing pages.

Brand keywords like “kitchen countertop X”, “stone X”, etc., while not difficult for businesses to rank in the top 1, often don’t rank on the correct landing page.

This not only wastes the company’s SEO efforts but also fails to address the user’s search intent. This ultimately leads to a reduced user experience on the site.

3. The website is not yet optimized for on-page SEO.

It’s easy to see that some of the company’s on-page optimization issues at that time were completely unoptimized, making SEO more difficult:

  • Many meta tags on product categories are missing.
  • URL tags are not optimized.

Our solution

Based on that analysis, GDT Store has proposed the following solutions to help make the company’s SEO activities more effective:

Replace unsustainable backlink SEO methods with a comprehensive SEO approach.

In addition to brand keywords, GDT Store has researched and proposed a set of keywords closely related to the company’s quartz stone products, including 91 keywords.

This set of keywords will help the company address a crucial missing element in its SEO efforts: answering potential customer questions.

– From the above keyword set, GDT Store has optimized over 25 existing content pieces and created 48 new articles.

– Helped the company create over 91 digital accounts (including social media), 2000 shares of SEO articles, and supported the publication of 6 high-quality press releases.

– Ensured brand keywords rank on the correct landing pages.

– Proposing and supporting the optimization of the above-mentioned website and Onpage criteria.

In addition, to SEO difficult keywords and hotkeys, GDT Store needed to improve its SEO methods to achieve the desired KPIs:
– Transforming the interface of a normal blog post into the interface of a category page to satisfy customer insights.

– Referencing content from similar websites worldwide to obtain the highest possible quality content.

IV. Results

After more than 8 months of implementation, and with the concerted efforts of all parties involved, V***** has achieved results exceeding expectations:

  1. 91% of keywords reached Top 3 compared to the committed 70% Top 5.
  2.  In addition, all 5 main keywords reached Top 5, including 4 Top 1 and 1 Top 2.
